Congratulations to Ailsa Millen and Cara Evans, both recent lab members. Ailsa has been accepted to study for a PhD at the University of Portsmouth and Cara has been accepted to study for a PhD at UCL.

Our article, 'Conservatism in Laboratory Microsocieties: Unpredictable Payoffs Accentuate Group-Specific Traditions' has been accepted for publication in Evolution and Human Behavior.

Our funders, the ESRC, have reviewed the final report for our project, 'Testing Hypotheses about Cumulative Cultural Evolution' (RES-061-23-0072), and have given it their highest grade of 'Outstanding'.

We have been awarded a new research grant by the ESRC. Our topic is 'An Experimental Approach to Studying Cultural Variation and Convergence' (RES-062-23-1634) and the project will start in 2009.
